Summary
Yuga Labs' Mudwater trading card collection went live on Solana on October 17, 2026, timed with ApeFest 2026 in Charleston. The debut set, Swamp Origins, has 120 artworks across standard, foil, serialized and cracked-ice tiers, topped by eight cracked-ice one-of-one cards. Each card links a physical collectible to a matching Solana NFT held in a vault. Holders claim through Totems, ERC-6551 token-bound accounts, with BAYC holders getting 10 packs each and MAYC holders 2, until January 19, 2027. A 2.5% reflection on NFT trades buys APE that is distributed to Mudwater holders.
Key points
- More than 140,000 packs are available to claim, out of a planned 10,000 boxes of 24 packs.
- BAYC and MAYC holders received 6,551 Totems.
- Totems, packs and cards trade on OpenSea, with listings appearing soon after claims opened.
- A gameplay demo is available in Otherside, with pack-to-box upgrades on the roadmap.
Why it matters: It is a fresh airdrop for Ape holders and creates APE buying tied to card trading activity.
